Description: Farah Otero-Amad completed a Master’s degree in Journalism at Columbia University, where she concentrated in broadcast journalism. Prior to studying at Columbia, Farah graduated on the Dean’s List at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Modern Middle Eastern Studies. Born and raised in California, she has also lived and worked overseas in Mexico, Spain, Japan, Ireland, and the Middle East. She is trilingual. Farah–a student athlete—played soccer for Penn’s Varsity team. She also served as the Assistant Secretary General for the International Affairs Association; coached soccer for a program called Young Quakers, and sung in the Arabic Choir. After studying at Columbia, she also received a Fulbright scholarship.
