Description: During her senior year of college, Lena participated in an Undergraduate Research Assistantship Program where she conducted policy research on charter laws and the history of school choice throughout the United States. After graduating with a B.A. in Government and International Politics from George Mason University, Lena continued her passion for public service by developing a talent pipeline from institutions of higher education into federal service as a Human Resources Specialist for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Representing a nexus of various identities as a Black Muslim Woman of immigrant parents, Lena is excited to learn from classmates who represent diverse backgrounds and life experiences in graduate school. Lena is a native of the Washington DC metropolitan area and is of Ethiopian heritage. Lena Nour received a Masters of Public Policy at George Washington University with a concentration in Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis in 2020.
