Description: Areeb is a 2023 ISF Scholar studying at Yale Law School who is interested in pursuing a career in government lawyering. Areeb attended UT Dallas, where he became involved in work related to segregation, predatory lending, and financial discrimination, which ultimately led him to work in informal settlements in South Africa. At Yale, Areeb involved himself in the Housing, Free Exercise, and Veterans Legal Services Clinics. Areeb also gained an interest in religious discrimination work, which led him to intern at the ACLU Religious Freedom Project. Areeb took a gap from law school to work as a law clerk at the White House Counsel's Office and in the Office of Senator Whitehouse on the Senate Judiciary Committee. He has also worked at Arnold & Porter in DC and at the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. Areeb receieved a clerkship with Judges Maria Kahn on the Second Circuit and Denise Cote on the Southern District of New York.
