Description: Razi Hashmi is the Deputy Director of Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor at the U.S. Department of State. He served at the Department since 2015 as congressional advisor and foreign affairs officer on counternarcotics and rule of law programs in Afghanistan. He began his federal career in 2013 as a Presidential Management Fellow in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Razi is the co-founder of the Mosaic Muslim Federal Employee Association, a non-profit professional network focused on career advancement, leadership development, and promoting DEIA.
