    Description: Abdullah Hasan was an Honors student at the University of Connecticut, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Human Rights, and Women’s Studies. He was the president of UConn’s Mock Trial Association, founder of UConn’s first undergraduate political review, and served as senator for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. In the past, Abdullah interned at the White House’s Office of Management and Budget and served as the National Communications Coordinator for the Center for American Progress/Enough Project’s Conflict-Free Campus Initiative. He has also interned with the American Civil Liberties Union’s National Security Project, assisting in cases against NYPD’s unlawful Muslim surveillance programs and the NSA’s mass surveillance practices, as well as with Enough Project’s Raise Hope for Congo Campaign.  He was also selected as a University Scholar, UConn’s highest academic distinction.
