Description: Sajdah Bey is a graduating of Barnard College of Columbia University majoring in political science and human rights. In the past, Sajdah has worked as a legal intake intern at the ACLU and as an immigration intern at the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition. Sajdah also held an internship in Judge LaShann DeArcy Hall’s chambers in the United States District Court in the Eastern District of New York. In 2020, Sajdah worked as a Research Assistant for Dr. Severine Autesserre, Professor of Political Science at Barnard College. Sajdah is an active member of her campus community. She previously served as co-president of the Columbia University Interfaith Collective. She is currently secretary of the Muslim Afro Niyyah Students Association and works as a Fellow in the Barnard Writing Center. Outside of campus, Sajdah frequently participates as a volunteer for Islamic Relief, and Muslims Serve. Sajdah is deeply passionate about serving her communities and helping build a more equitable future.
