Description: Samra Ahmed is a rising sophomore at Georgetown University, where she is majoring in Political Science and minoring in Arabic. She graduated from Castilleja School in Palo Alto, CA in 2014. At Georgetown, Samra is the Treasurer of the Muslim Students Association and is also on the planning committee of the Admissions Ambassadors Program. She is also an active member of the College Democrats and Women in Leadership. She has interned for Congressman Mike Honda (CA-17) in both the district and DC offices. She is particularly interested issues related to Muslim civil liberties, women’s rights, and Middle East politics. In her free time, Samra enjoys baking, playing volleyball, basketball and reading Spanish literature.
