Description: Farhana Arif received her Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan with dual concentrations in Brain, Behavior & Cognitive Science and Arabic & Islamic Studies.After graduation, Farhana worked primarily in the fields of youth/education and community development. She served as an AmeriCorps member, engaged in interdisciplinary research on Head Start, and worked as a community organizing fellow on the south side of Chicago. Farhana completed a dual-degree graduate program, receiving her Master’s in Public Policy and Business Administration. She also completed an internship at the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment & Opportunity, where she worked on issues such as Universal Pre-K and increasing access to public benefits for eligible families.Upon graduation, Farhana hopes to continue utilizing her educational training to work at the intersection of the public and private sectors, promoting the welfare of vulnerable populations.
