Description: Aisha Farooq graduated from University of Richmond with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and PPEL (Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law) with a minor in Healthcare Studies. She is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Policy at George Mason University with a focus on Social Policy. She currently serves as the South Asian Case Manager at the Domestic Violence Resource Project where she assists survivors with referrals and resources to housing, legal representation, job resources, and public benefits. She also serves as the Outreach Manager for the DC Chapter- Muslim Women's Professional Network where she is sharing job opportunities with Muslim women in the DMV area. In her free time, Aisha enjoys spoken poetry events and reading books by POC.
