Description: Bashirah Mack is a documentary filmmaker and visual storyteller. At the J-School, she successfully honed her visual storytelling skills from conception to post-production. She comes with research and fact-checking skills, has supported multimedia production in public media newsrooms, excelled as a field producer, and has helped tell investigative stories as an Investigative Reporting Program fellow. Her work has appeared in Oakland North, WBEZ Chicago Public Media, WYPR Baltimore Public Radio, City Bureau, Chicago Defender, and South Side Weekly. Bashirah has also received nominations for her collaboration on investigative stories from the Chicago Headline Club.
