Description: I am a 2022 and 2023 recipient of the ISF Scholarship to attend Chicago-Kent College of Law as well as a the Criminal Defense Litigation Certificate Program at Chicago-Kent. I am a DACA recipient that arrived to the U.S. from Mexico in 1999, at the age of 2. In 2018, I accepted Islam and became on active member of the Muslim community, working for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Chicago) and the Illinois Muslim Civic Coalition. I also served as Outreach Chair for the Muslim Student Association at the University of Illinois at Chicago and am currently a regular volunteer for Ojalá Foundation (a Latino Muslim organization in Chicago).
