Description: Hamna Ahmad completed her JD at the University of Virginia School of Law in 2020. She also graduated summa cum laude from George Mason University in 2017 with a major in Government and International Politics and minors in Spanish and Political Communication. At Mason, Hamna served on the boards of the United Muslim Relief chapter and the Model United Nations club, as well as working as a staff writer for the campus newspaper. She has held internship positions in her local government, on Capitol Hill, and in the policy department of the American Association of University Women in Washington, DC. She is also a part of the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) Civic Engagement group, and has taught at the Taleem-ul-Quran program there for the past four years. At UVA, Hamna hopes to find a way to combine her legal education, policy background, and language skills to make America a more just place for everyone living in it, not just the privileged few.
