Description: Ayesha Durrani is a third-year student at Yale Law School. She received her BA in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University and her MA in Migration Studies from the University of Sussex as a US-UK Fulbright Scholar. Previously, Ayesha has worked on Guantanamo-related issues as a fellow at Reprieve, researched police accountability and immigration abuses as an intern with the House Oversight Committee Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Liberties, and worked on prisoners' rights cases as an intern with the MacArthur Justice Center's Supreme Court and Appellate Program. With the support of an ISF judicial internship scholarship, Ayesha interned for Judge Royce C. Lamberth on the District Court for the District of Columbia. A Muslim Kashmiri-American, Ayesha is interested in civil rights litigation at the nexus of immigration, national security, and religious freedom.
