Description: Hi, my name is Donya Lechqer. I am a master's student in my final year of the Democracy and Governance program at Georgetown University located in Washington, D.C. My regional focus the Middle East and North Africa. I completed my undergraduate studies at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia with a bachelor's in political science. I am beyond honored and grateful to be a recipient of ISF's scholarship, and I fully intend on representing ISF well as a member of the 2024-2025 cohort by continuing to help my community better understand Islam and the role it plays in the lives of American Muslims.
