Description: Nadir Al-Saidi, BS, is a pre-med student aspiring to become a medical correspondent in the future. As a former journalist and senior editor for The Michigan Daily during his time at the University of Michigan, Nadir has been committed to covering a wide range of health-related topics like the mental health epidemic, community and place, COVID-19, underrepresented research, health inequity and more. Nadir’s overarching goal is to dismantle socioeconomic barriers to healthcare by sparking conversation among his readers. He hopes to attend medical school after graduating from Harvard Medical School with his M.S. in Media, Medicine, and Health to continue on his path to becoming a physician-communicator.
