Description: Hasan Zai pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, studying Political Science and International Studies, with a concentration in International Security, Norms, and Cooperation and a minor in Education for Empowerment. As a first-generation Pakistani-American, he is passionate about immigrant and human rights, specifically within the legal realm. He aspires to pursue a career in civil and human rights law while working with marginalized and oppressed populations nationally and internationally. On campus, Hasan served as Chief Justice on the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts' Student Judiciary body, Vice President of Research of Students for Democracy, and President of Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Fraternity. He has also worked with the Social Comparisons and Close Relationships Lab as a Research Assistant and the Public Service Intern Program as a Student Ambassador while volunteering in the Ann Arbor community as an ESL Teaching Assistant and Mentor.
