Description: Shiraz Ahmed, Director and Producer, is a visual artist and award winning journalist based in Detroit. He is a Kartemquin Diverse Voices in Docs fellow (2019), New York Foundation for the Arts Immigrant Artist fellow (2019) and a Documenting Detroit fellow (2018). His work has been published by 101.9 WDET, Detroit’s NPR Station, MLK50: Justice Through Journalism and Texas Monthly. He is a candidate for an MFA in experimental and documentary arts at Duke University.
