Description: Marwa Abdelghani has previously worked at the Muslim Public Affairs Council as the Community Outreach Fellow. She completed a bachelor’s degree in Literary Journalism at the University of California, Irvine. Abdelghani writes extensively on issues such as women’s rights, politics in the U.S. and the Middle East, Islam, interfaith, Muslims in the media, as well as life and love. She has a passion for expressing herself and her concerns through writing, which she believes is one of the most powerful ways to create change. She has spoken about Islam and Muslims in America, the network of Islamophobia in America, nonviolent resistance, the need for the Muslim voice in America, and women’s rights. She has spoken at schools and faith-based institutions, and has been featured on several news networks She is also a strong believer of interfaith work, and currently sits on the the advisory board of NewGround: A Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change.
