Description: Yasmin grew up in Los Angeles, California and is of Egyptian and Iranian descent.While a student, Yasmin had the opportunity to intern at prominent media outlets where she gained valuable experience in broadcast journalism. After graduating from the U.C., Irvine in 2010, she traveled to Egypt to immerse herself in Arabic language study. Upon her return, she worked at Southern California Public Radio and the Orange County Week. Her work has appeared in publications such as the Glendale News-Press and Multiamerican.org. Yasmin particularly enjoys reporting about religion and social justice issues in the United States. Yasmin Nouh received a master’s degree in journalism at Columbia University in 2015. Her concentration was in broadcast journalism, though she also has extensive experience in print, magazine, and radio journalism.
