Description: Sabeeh completed a Masters of International Affairs at Columbia University.Sabeeh graduated from New York University in 2014 with a B.A. in Jewish History and Civilization. As a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholar, he researched and interviewed Muslim migrant communities across Central Europe, assessing the legal treatment of Muslim minorities and drawing comparisons to the American Muslim context. As a researcher at Tel Aviv University, he analyzed the roots of tolerance and intolerance between Muslim and Jewish communities, both within Israel and abroad. His senior thesis on Muslim-Jewish relations in New York City during the early twentieth century was awarded the Phi Beta Kappa Prize. Sabeeh was raised on a small goat farm in southern Virginia. Beyond his endeavors to bridge understanding between Muslims and Jews, Sabeeh also aspires to ameliorate the stigmatized image of Muslims in America, utilizing lessons learned from the American Jewish community’s challenges in the last century.
