Description: Faroukh Virani is a Los Angeles based director and editor who has completed studies in Film Production at USC's School of Cinematic Arts (MFA) and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (BFA). His parents operated a Bollywood video rental store while growing up in Houston, TX - the spectacle, color and magic of these films greatly influence his work today. Faroukh enjoys exploring cultural politics via narratives involving elements of surrealism and magical realism. Faroukh serves as an Editor on CW's series "WALKER," with additional credits on "iZombie," "HUNTERS," and "The Resident." Faroukh’s award-winning USC Thesis film (supported by the ISF Scholarship Fund), "VIMANA", has screened at various film festivals including the PBS Online Film Festival, Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, CAAMFest, and part of DUST Sci-Fi shorts channel.
