Description: Sakina is a scholar, poet, and performance artist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Creative Writing from Bryn Mawr College, graduating Cum Laude in 2013. As a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, and Fulbright Scholar, she has conducted independent philosophy research on unity in multiplicity and the logic of constructive belief. As an artist, her work has been featured at the Camra Screening Scholarship Media Festival at the University of Pennsylvania, National Sawdust in Brooklyn, and the Self-Organized Performance Biennial on Art and Politics in Athens, Greece. She is a graduate of Yale Divinity School and The Institute of Sacred Music with a focus on Religion and Literature.
