Description: Marjon Momand graduated from Berkeley Law School in 2019. She is interested in human rights law. From July 2014-May 2016, Marjon worked at the Center for Justice and Accountability (CJA), a human rights organization based in San Francisco. Prior to her work at CJA, Marjon worked at the American University in Cairo through the Presidential Internship Program. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UC Berkeley in 2013. Her honors thesis focused on the rights of religious minorities in Muslim-majority countries. As a recipient of the Department Citation Award, Marjon delivered the commencement speech at UC Berkeley’s Political Science commencement. Marjon has been involved in several American Muslim organizations. She currently serves on the board of the Muslim Youth Camp of California. She was Managing Editor of UC Berkeley’s Muslim student publication, Al-Bayan, and she was an intern for the Muslim Public Affairs Council.
