Description: Laila Ayub is the Co-Founder, Co-Director and Immigration Attorney of Project ANAR, which is an Afghan community immigration justice organization offering direct legal services in Northern California, and community education and advocacy on a national scale. Previously, Laila was a Special Projects Attorney on the Family Detention Legal Services team at RAICES, which offers free legal services to individuals detained in ICE custody at the Karnes family immigration prison in Texas Laila is a 2019 graduate of American University Washington College of Law, where she worked in the international human rights impact litigation and workers’ rights clinics. She is also an organizer and student of abolition.
