Description: Aisha Farooq graduated from University of Richmond with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and PPEL (Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law) with a minor in Healthcare Studies. She also completed a Master's in Public Policy at George Mason University with a focus on Social Policy. She has served as the South Asian Case Manager at the Domestic Violence Resource Project where she would assist survivors with referrals and resources to housing, legal representation, job resources, and public benefits. She has also served as the Outreach Manager for the DC Chapter- Muslim Women's Professional Network where she would share job opportunities with Muslim women in the DMV area. In her free time, Aisha enjoys spoken poetry events and reading books by POC.
