Description: Noor Amanullah is an undergraduate student at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Public Policy and South Asian Studies. At Rutgers, Noor has worked on civic education and voter engagement initiatives with the Center for Youth Political Participation, a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics, and is a former Research Assistant to the New Jersey State Policy Lab. In her free time, Noor serves as Associate Director to MIST-NJ, the New Jersey chapter of the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament, which seeks to empower high school students academically, professionally, and spiritually. There, she supports her team in organizing an annual event for over 500 attendees, with a focus on programming and marketing. Informed by research on best practices and experience volunteering, Noor hopes to pursue a graduate degree in policy and support American communities and families by applying social science research to policy creation and implementation.
