Film

Muslim stories remain deeply underrepresented in mainstream film. ISF invests in filmmakers who expand representation, challenge stereotypes, and bring authentic stories to audiences.

Impact: Since 2009, ISF has supported 246 film awards, internships, and fellowships for 134 unique recipients. More than 200 films by ISF alums have screened at festivals across the country.

Law

ISF builds legal pathways for future attorneys committed to justice, civil rights, immigration, public defense, and public service.

Impact: Since 2009, ISF has supported 204 public interest law awards, internships, and fellowships for 136 unique recipients, including 126 aspiring legal professionals.

Media

Accurate, nuanced journalism is essential to public understanding. ISF supports Muslim writers, reporters, and editors entering newsrooms and media spaces.

Impact: Since 2009, ISF has supported 132 news/media awards, internships, and fellowships for 106 unique recipients. ISF media alums have produced 3,000+ articles.

Policy

Muslim representation in public policy remains limited. ISF helps emerging leaders gain the experience, mentorship, and access needed to serve in decision-making spaces.

Impact: Since 2009, ISF has supported 316 public policy awards, internships, and fellowships for 254 unique recipients. More than 100 aspiring policymakers have completed internships and fellowships on Capitol Hill.
