Bio
Sana Hussein is Muslim, Kurdish, a former refugee, and a caregiver to a disabled veteran. She’s also a recent college graduate from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business. While she was a student, she worked as an Outreach Director for the Embrey Human Rights Student Leadership Executive Board. She also helped coordinate the largest conference in the world for women living with HIV/AIDS. After graduation, she worked as a writer with the mission of creating socially and culturally relevant content for television. Sana currently runs CreativeWOC (Women of Color) which aims to help women of color find jobs, internships, and fellowships. She also works as a phone bank volunteer for Powered By People in Texas. Sana is a recent participant in the RespectAbility Summer Lab and the Sister Circle Mentorship Program. She’s also a Forbes Under 30 Scholar.
