Nadim Houssain is in his fourth year of a concurrent degree in law and public administration. Nadim is pursuing his MPA at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and his JD at Berkeley Law. Before attending graduate school, Nadim attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where he received a BA in Global Studies. Soon thereafter, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Burkina Faso where he specialized in community economic development. Following his Peace Corps service, Nadim worked briefly for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign in 2016 as a Field Organizer. Nadim also worked as a legislative intern in Congressman Jared Huffman’s office after completing his first year of graduate school. During his second year of law school, Nadim worked with the Policy Advocacy Clinic to eliminate juvenile fees in California and to encourage counties to forgive outstanding juvenile fee debt. Nadim also co-organized and led UC Berkeley’s inaugural Palestine Trek, which brought over 40 students from across UC Berkeley’s graduate departments to Palestine for a week-long immersive experience.
