Bio
Dana Elizabeth Lee is a second-year master’s degree student at Harvard Divinity School, specializing in the study of Islam. Prior to this program, Dana earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Chinese from the University of Notre Dame, and a juris doctor from UCLA School of Law. Dana’s primary scholarly interests are in classical Islamic jurisprudence and theology, and in furtherance of her passion for the pursuit of knowledge, she plans to undertake a Ph.D. following the master’s degree program. While she aspires to a life of research and teaching, she also strives to remain fully engaged in policy work and legal advocacy throughout her career.
Update
Dana received her Ph.D. from the Department of Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University. She is a research fellow at the Program in Islamic Law at Harvard Law School for the 2019-2020 academic year.
